Tee work does not have to be boring and unchallenging anymore. The Hands Back Hitter creates the perfect sequence of hands back, soft balanced stride, and rotational swing to handle all pitches, especially curve balls and change-ups. It will eliminate late striding, swinging during your stride, lunging, and pulling balls foul. This device forces the batter to hit the ball deeper over the plate every time, making it easier to go opposite field to hit behind runners.
The Hands Back is the perfect hitting station for all playing levels and it provides safe and effective practice, even in limited space. It can be used for hours of unsupervised practice in the backyard.
The Hands Back Hitter works best with golf-sized plastic wiffle balls or 3" plastic baseballs, and the unit comes with a dozen light weight plastic balls. You can also use real baseballs or softballs. The ball popping height can be adjusted in seconds and deliver the ball to any of the contact points, such as low and away, or up and in. Changes from right handed to left are quick as well.
The Hands Back also comes with a CD outlining the Check 3 hitting system. If you believe in keeping your hands back, taking a soft stride, and leading with the hips, then this is the hitting training aid you need.
"Finally a fun batting trainer that teaches the correct swing."
- Mike Epstein, hitting instructor
The machine comes with 12 medium weight plastic balls
Place a Wiffle ball on the launcher. With a normal stride, the batter sets the wiffle ball into motion by stepping on a string (firing cord). The ball will appear in the hitting zone with the hitter in the correct timing sequence...hands back, foot down, hips launching the swing.
The Hands Back Hitter corrects hitting flaws!
The offset tee position makes you contact the ball between the balls of your feet.
The resistor arch makes you stride carefully to balance softly on the lead toe.
The vertical popper elevates the ball after the front foot is down creating the timing sequence of the early stride.
The front toe down on the string and the heel up sets the stage for bat launch through hip rotation.
Feel and teach how to load/coil your body as you stride to hit and the effortless power that comes from torque.
The Hands Back comes with a CD outlining the Check 3 hitting system, which will teach hitters to:
This CD features 100 instructional slides along with some streaming video clips.
