A batting tee is one of the most important pieces of training equipment you can own and the 5-Position Tuffy Tee by ATEC is the top-of-the-line batting tee. That's why it's used daily by Major League players and coaches!
The stems and base of the 5-Position Tuffy Batting Tee are made of polyurethane, a high-strength material that offers the elasticity of rubber combined with the durability of metal. Compared to traditional plastic tees, polyurethane offers superior impact resistance, which means it won't wear down easily.
The two adjustable tee stems are solid, not hollow like others, and the home plate base has a steel counterweight molded into it, making the tee as stable as possible.
The multi-position design of the tee enables it to be used for all sorts of drills. This 5-Position Tee is made of a very durable and high-strength polyurethane that resists all the mis-hits and bad weather an outdoor training aid must endure.

You can set this Tee up and break it down very quickly and it will stay put wherever and whenever you make adjustments for your different sized players. The adjustments are both smooth and quick!
Get Immediate Feedback
I like the fact that you can adjust the ATEC 5-Position Tuffy Batting Tee to hit inside, outside, high and low pitches. Plus, you can use the two tee stems to teach players proper swing angles, giving them immediate feedback when hands get too low or stray too far outside the ball (causing a slow, looping swing path).
Don Mattingly, the 1984 American League batting champ and a career .307 hitter, would often hit off a tee for two hours a day, using the instant feedback to work on his mechanics.
"The ball doesn't lie to you," Mattingly, now a Yankees coach, says. "When you're hitting a ball off the tee and you're set up the same way every time, the ball should be basically going to the same spot. You want to get that consistent.then you know the mechanics are falling into place."
