Solid metal and carbon composite construction ensures maximum strength and gives you better performance. The combination of these materials give you a strong bat in a lightweight form.
The heart of the Exogrid is an internal carbon composite sleeve which provides greater handle stiffness than aluminum alone ever could. Over that is a Metal wall trimmed in a grid pattern and replaced with carbon composite inserts. These carbon inserts are several times stronger and lighter than the metal they replace.
Louisville Slugger employs Vyatek's trademark Exogrid and Bi/Fusion Technologies which combine heat and extreme pressure to bond the sleeve, inserts and metal wall to function as a single, solid unit.
Meets BESR bat standards for college and high school.
I don't think bats make the player, but good equipment certainly does help...and if it lasts as long this model should last, then your ultimate price is certainly reduced.
If you like Louisville Slugger products and really like the idea of a composite bat. you WILL like this exogrid!
If you are a player & money will prevent you from purchasing this great bat, consider earning the extra cash by shoveling some snow, mowing some lawns and using your old bat a bit longer.before settling for an average bat.it may be that important!
I do have one other very fine alternative that I have found for you to consider...the very balanced Akadema Xtension. My son used it during a slump while trying anything to break out of it. He finished his college season with it and hit over .340 in 30 games. More importantly, he felt its balance gave him the confidence to hit like he should have all long. Was it the bat? Probably not. But did it perform well in NCAA action? Absolutely...and a great price too!
