Baseball coaches can be slow to change... myself included.
I was not overly excited about this equipment bag until the test piece was assembled (3 minutes) after being delivered to our office. After all, I have coaches bags, I even have one with wheels, a large catchers bag that has worked just fine.
I now see the value... so efficient in its simplicity, so many features that took thinking through... by someone smarter than me... and reasonably priced considering how many seasons it should last you.
Here's what I liked and hopefully you will too:
It stands upright making it easy to load or unload. This feature also helps you to keep your dugout floor neater so less tripping over any and all... it just sits in a corner where players can access it throughout the day.
The metal frame features a top opening that stays open, making for easier one-hand access. The wheeled equipment bag itself is large and has a solid bottom to accept plenty of weight but what's smart is that you have the ability to access your balls and 5 gallon bucket through a front zipper-compartment while still giving you access up top.
The wheels are extra large, with a wide stance... and rubber.
You will notice the importance of this when you first use it (unlike my plastic small-wheeled rolling catchers bag that will now be retired).
The wheels, being rubber, are quiet so I don't sound like a train walking to the field... and of more importance, the 7 inch tall wheels easily hurdle all the surfaces from asphalt to grass, and across the dirt and infield too with the ability for tight turns through field and dugout gates.
I do not see the advertised collapse-ability as being a reason to purchase (wing nuts and small washers deter me from wanting to store it in its collapsed position) but for a portable rolling method of getting my equipment to and from the car... it is unique... and a winner!
