Coach JP: I am proud to call Steve Springer my friend. He is the everyman ballplayer, the guy who battled and made himself into a ballplayer with gifts he wasn't born with.
This ex-Major Leaguer really was 4 foot 11 inches and weighed 90 lbs as a High School Freshman. He really didn't start during his Varsity Senior year. He really got only 3 at bats his first year in Junior College as a 19-year old . He Really Didn't Quit!
