My son, Joshua, is a
Junior at Villa Park High School and is in his third year as a member of
the Varsity Baseball Squad. Always a number 1 or 2 hitter, Josh's average
dropped below .200 this season about half-way through league play. It
seemed like the harder he worked, the further behind he got. He would go
to his hitting lessons and hit like crazy - yet, when game time came he was
not at all effective. In talking with one of the Dad's on the team, he
told me about your CD and how his son had benefited from it (he was not the
first Dad to mention the CD, either).
That was a couple of weeks ago.
Since receiving the CD, my son has listened to it almost every night and
specifically before games. He said that he thinks what your CD says about
working for a quality at bat and not worrying about your average was part
of his problem. He was obsessing about his batting average because, as you
know, the Junior year is an important year for College bound athletes. The
more college letters he received, and the lower his average dropped, the
more confidence he lost!
Your advise helped him get back on track and to focus on what's important -
having a quality at bat, every at bat. Thanks to your CD, Josh has hit 10
for 16 in his last 6 games with 4 doubles, 1 triple, and a home run. He is
back to his "old self" again. Josh has always been a strong hitter and has
never had trouble at the plate (not to this extent, anyway). When I asked
him what he attributed his success to, he said it was your CD and, I
quote, "that guy gets into your head."
Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with up and coming
young athletes like Josh. I know you won't get rich on the $25 a CD you
charge, but surely you can feel proud of the impact you have had on
athletes, like my son, who have benefited from your wealth of knowledge.
Thank You again,
Sno Hanson
