About Coach Bragg Stockton
Respected as a master teacher of skills, a superb strategist, and a "craftsman" of quality ball players, Bragg Stockton has had a record as a marvelously successful baseball coach.
Through three decades of coaching, Stockton has had a career win-loss average of over 70%.
He has coached on a high school, junior college, and Division 1 NCAA level and posted 1,014 career wins. His teams at Jesse H. Jones High School, San Jacinto College, Texas Christian University and the University of Houston have all earned national rankings. Junior College World Series, SWC tournaments, and NCAA regional playoffs highlighted Stockton's career!
Stockton has received numerous Coach of the Year awards, several of which were presented by the Texas Sports Writers Association and the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Coach Stockton Passes Away
Coach Bragg Stockton unexpectedly died on January 21, 2003 after experiencing chest pains following his normal workout. He was 64. "He was a pioneer.in developing baseball," noted University of Houston Head Coach Rayner Noble. "He was truly passionate about the game of baseball, and he passed that passion on to those around him. It was his life and he influenced many people."
