ABOUT THE COACH
George Horton is the head coach of the powerful Cal State Fullerton Titans, the 2004 College World Series champions. Since taking over the program in 1996, Horton has led the Titans to Omaha five times in his ten-year tenure while compiling a .709 winning percentage (450-185).
A graduate of Cal State Fullerton, Horton is one of only nine men to have appeared in the College World Series as a player and a head coach. Widely respected as one of the best coaches in the game, he has twice been named National Coach of the Year (2003 and 2004) and dozens of his players have gone on to have successful careers in the Major Leagues, including Chad Cordero, Aaron Rowand and Mike Lamb.
