The durable plastic bucket by Wilson stores up to 5 dozen baseballs (or 2 dozen softballs). The bucket's snap-on lid prevents balls from spilling out when transporting, and the lid itself is a padded seat. The bucket includes a handle, making it easy to carry, and each bucket comes with three dozen 1st quality (non-blemished) Wilson A1030 baseballs.

"When you find 3 dozen good 1st quality balls for around $100 you are in a good price range. Essentially, the bucket and seat is a throw-in with this offering." - Coach JP

Wilson A1030 Baseballs

Each Ball Bucket comes with 3 dozen

  • Raised seams
  • Full grain Grade C leather cover
  • Gray wool windings
  • The 3 dozen A1030 balls ship inside the bucket. Each baseball is brand new and comes individually shrink wrapped. The balls are ideal for youth baseball games and high school/adult practices.

The raised seam of the A1030 is 20% higher than a flat seam baseball, giving pitchers & fielders better grip and more accuracy.

Wilson performs an extensive battery of tests on every baseball prior to and during production to ensure consistent performance in the field.

About the Wilson A1030 Baseball & Ball Bucket

Every high school & college baseball coach starts each season with a quantity of new baseballs, something with a good full grain leather cover, a cushioned cork core, and good feeling seams.

Every youth baseball coach should start each season the same way (it's like new clothes and supplies on the first day of school). This applies to any and all age groups. but please never buy that plastic or synthetic covered stuff. They are just plain bad!

Since coaches spend so much time sitting on a bucket, it makes sense to have a padded seat.ours also snaps shut to save you from picking up balls in your trunk as well as in the dugout.

Wilson is one of the premier manufacturers of baseballs. I have used most every brand and model of ball including hundreds of these Wilson A1030 balls over the years and see them as a good workhorse ball for youth level baseball games (though high school and adult baseball teams should use these for practice only).

Coach JP's Tips

Before your first game or when your team is slumping or just playing poorly, consider breaking out new balls (the players call them pearls) to take infield and pre-game warm-ups. It may just light them up!

As long as you own good quality raised-seam baseballs (which helps players' control and even adds velocity), teach all your fielders to throw a good 4 seam ball every time

How to throw a 4 seam fastball

The pads or tips of the fingers should always sit just on or over the seam and the proper seam will always be across the "horse shoe."

The final key is that the index and middle finger tips will leave the ball last (the ring finger can be added for younger/smaller players) and if the thumb is properly under the ball, the ball's spin or rotation should be BACKWARDS and NOT SIDEWAYS (which may cause unwanted movement plus increase the potential incidence of arm injury).

This assumes a player's arm position is proper, with elbow above shoulder height at ball release. If elbow height is a problem, I suggest our ThrowMax Arm Brace. It is inexpensive help for this potentially harmful problem.

Consider using a team colored dot on each of your new balls. golfers do! You may find that baseballs tend to stay around longer and will help you put a lid on this personal or team expense.
